As we sit here glued to the jubilation on the Watertown and Boston streets, we are all reminded of the spirit of community and the good that can happen when we all come together.  That has been incredibly evident the past three days as the YAWP students have taken on the devastation caused by Huuricane Sandy.  They have pulled up floors, tugged down ceilings, cleaned out crawl spaces, and left not a single mold spore in their path! And, the best part, they did all of this without a single complaint -- well, maybe just a couple of comments about how much they loved their Tyvek suits!

We have long thought that this group is special, but now we know they are beyond special -- they are compassionate, funny, hard-working, smart, a delight to be with, and, tonight, very tired!  The people at All Hands Volunteers  have all talked about what amazing workers these students are - no task was too little or too big.

Tomorrow, we head into Manhattan to experience a bit of the city and to follow the great scavenger hunt created by Cami.  After a few hours in the city we will head to Orono with a very tired, but outstanding group of young people.  YAWP has once again lived up to its name... Young Adults with Pizzaz!  We are all so very proud of them and all they have done this week.
